James Rodriguez, BSW

James Rodriguez is a graduate student at Yeshiva University, specializing in Clinical Social Work. James’ experience includes camp experience through group athletic activities, providing direction of activities to children, and case management.

Dr. Carmen Jimenez, Ed.D., LCSW, MPA, CASAC, BCB

Co-Founder

Dr. Carmen Jimenez is an award-winning licensed clinical social worker, a third-generation educator, researcher, psychotherapist, author, EMDR Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant, Board Certified in Biofeedback, clinical hypnotherapist, a National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) specialist, a New York State OASAS credentialed in alcohol and substance abuse as well as a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) Assessment and Screening Provider.

As the founder of Counseling Consultation Service, Inc. and co-founder of Protect the Angels, Inc., Dr. Jimenez received a Doctor of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, a Master of Public Administration, and a Master of Science in Social Work from New York University and Columbia University, respectively. Undergraduate studies in psychology were completed at St. John’s University. Further, Dr. Jimenez discovered the Mapping Protocol and coined the term deportphobia.

Dr. Jimenez, widely recognized by her artistic moniker “La Caribeña”, is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and music producer who masterfully blends traditional merengue, bachata, and tropical rhythms. Born to Puerto Rican father from Loiza and a Dominican mother from San Jose de las Matas her signature style is deeply influenced by her multicultural Caribbean heritage. Operating under her production brand Merenchata, Jimenez focuses on crafting high-energy tropical music that serves as a cultural bridge. Her Lyrics frequently celebrate regional beauty, historic roots, and shared community passions across the Caribbean. Dr. Jimenez is an award-winning independent music executive producer, recipient of the Ciudad Corazón Award at the Teatro Nacional in Santiago, Dominican Republic, Julia de Burgos Award in New York, the Freddy Beras Goico Medal, ACE Awards nominee, and was issued two Mayoral Proclamations from Hawaii.

Married to pianist Jesse Rodriguez and with their three children, Dr. Jimenez was raised in Corona, New York. Influenced by her father and mentor, Hall of Fame Civil Engineer, Jose V. Jimenez, Dr. Jimenez was introduced to design and work ethics. On the other hand, Dr. Jimenez’s mother, Bienvenida Jimenez Salcedo, Dominican Republic, introduced Dr. Jimenez to the creative arts.

Jesse Rodriguez, CHC (Co-Founder)

Jesse Rodriguez is a professional pianist, vibraphonist, Certified Holistic Counselor, and stress management coach. Jesse Rodriguez comes from a musical family and has traveled to various parts of the world due to his career as a pianist. Trained in biofeedback and personal trainer fitness, Jesse Rodriguez also completed his training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. Jesse Rodriguez is a former youth soccer and basketball coach. Finally, Jesse Rodriguez is passionate about mental health equity, access to healthy foods, culinary arts education, domestic violence, and child abuse prevention.
